Birdie come back!

Hello Delightful friends and family!

I couldn't resist scrapbooking this day with Addy. (Feb. 2012)  She was just having so much fun watching this robin in the backyard. It was so entertaining!  She would just giggle and was so good just taking it all in!

All the products are from A Cherry On Top (all digital) and the two sets I've used are Sweet Digi Doodles 1 and 2 (papers and elements).  Once I get the pages layed out I then put them on a flashdrive and have them printed at Scrapper's Edge on 12x12 heavy white card stock.

Thanks for visiting and have a fantastic weekend!

Birthday Card - Sunday Style Challenge 5

Happy Friday to you all!
Hubby is taking the two little granddaughters for a walk to the post office (Jake and Addy are off to the waterslides with their mom & dad, otherwise we'd have all four here today) and so I thought I'd sneak in here real quick-like and post this card I made early this morning for Amy's Sunday Style Challenge.  The ingredients follow...  I'd best hurry I think I hear the pitter patter of tiny feet!  I'm also off to finish cleaning we are having a big BBQ and our Church "Family Night" in our backyard with the group from Teen Challenge.  I'm so thankful Kerry (hubby) has this week off from the mill, I don't know how I'd get everything done!

All the ingredients came from the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kit for July. The DP this month is Cosmo Cricket, Tea for Two.  The following was not included in the kit: Digi image from By Lori Designs, the sentiment on the outside is from Taylored Expressions Bikes and Trikes; Inside sentiment: Hero Arts; Spellbinders Nestabilities Scallop Oval; Memento, Tuxedo Black Ink.  I colored the sweet little girl with my Copic Markers.

Birthday - Digital layout

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

I'm still working on those digital layouts of the grandkids.

This one just makes me laugh.  I caught cousins Riley and Jakob sneaking into the cake frosting!!  What a Kodak moment!

Here Riley is just tickled to be getting to blow out the candles.  I just love her expressions.

All the digital ingredients come from "A Cherry On Top" and I used various fonts from my computer.

Thanks for visiting today!

Summer Fun - digi layouts

Hello Delightful friends and family,
I've been playing catch up on my scrapbooking and have decided the only way to do that is by going digital.  I've been having fun!  It will be quite a while before I'm caught up but with 4 grandkids to scrapbook, this is the way to go for me, for now.  These are recent photos that I scrapbooked.  I have been trying to get the youngest granddaughter (Tucker Lynn, 21 months) some pages done for her book and I'll be sharing those soon!  I'm trying to start from the earliest age with her and move forward so if you've been around my blog for a while, (fyi) I do not have a new little one but I'm just that far behind in my scrapbooking!
This is Jakob training for the Olympics!

The 3 oldest are having fun in the "swimming" pool.

I have to use Publisher 10 for the design work and the digital papers and elements are from A Cherry On Top and Shabby Princess.  Both sites have quite a few items to download for free and A Cherry On Top has a huge amount on sale.  I will have to put Photoshop Elements on my wish list since the version I have isn't compatible with the new computer, of course that means I'm going to have to learn something new!! ;-)

Thanks for visiting!

Splash of color...a card - SSC#4

Hello and Happy Friday to my Delightful friends and family!!
Today  I have a card for Amy's Sunday Style challenge at Scrappin' N Style.  The challenge was to use one stamp, one punch and the colors turquoise, yellow and pink.  I saw a cool technique using alcohol inks, glossy paper and compressed air so  thought I'd give it a go with my own twist because I couldn't find my glossy paper (ha!)   I've used 3 Dylusions Spray Inks, Watercolor paper and I used my Maxwell Blast Away Multi-Purpose Duster and voila!  Here is my card:

inside

Ingredients:  Stamp: Taylored Expressions (Faith in Bloom); Punch: Marvy Uchida small blossom; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Dylusions Spray Ink: Bubblegum Pink, Lemon Zest and Vibrant Turquoise; Bazzill Card stock and Pacon Water Color Paper.

Thanks for visiting and I have another card to share later on, plus a few digi layouts I've been working on!  God bless.

A Wedding!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I've been playing around with Publisher 10 and doing some digital layouts from the photos I took at a wedding a couple of weeks ago.  I think I've finished 13 pages and I want to share 4 of them today.  This kind of scrapbooking is very new to me and I'd prefer to do hands on but do to shortness of time I've opted to do it this way.  They are very simple designs since I'm in the infant stage and since they are digital, I may add some more embellishments with the click of the mouse and I still need to add some journaling spots for the bride and groom.  But I hope you like them.
Here is my list of ingredients:
Background papers and elements: Shabby Princess (Gracie and Promise Collections).  Word Art by Karen at Paper Craft Memories (1 Corinthians 13)

The bride and groom, I've known the groom since he was a toddler!

My hubby did the ceremony.

Here is a double layout of the girls.

Thanks so much for looking!

Happy Birthday Grill Master -CPS #277

Hello again and happy Friday!!
Today is my son in law's birthday (Ray) and he's definitely the grill master of the family (I must admit, I take a distant 2nd place to him!) Here is a card I made for him and will be inserting a gift card inside, since he's not that easy to buy for! (sorry Ray, but you aren't!)  Jakob and Addy made him cards yesterday but I sent them home with them and should have posted them here too!  We will be surprising him at the ice cream parlor for dessert before he and Kelly go out to dinner tonight - they are heading to their favorite steakhouse where he is not doing the grilling!  He was told that Jake and Addy wanted to have ice cream with him but little does he know that the rest of us are showing up as well! SURPRISE!!

Here is the sketch I followed from Card Positioning Systems:

Ingredients:  Stamp: Taylored Expressions - Boys will be boys set; Hero Arts, Sending Smiles Message clear set (inside);  Designer Paper: Authentique-Loyal collection; Ink Memento Tuxedo Black, Teal Zeal and Northern Pine; Colored with Copic Markers; Heidi Swapp Distress Tool; Spellbinders Nestablities Oval Scallop. Dimensionals to pop up the barbecue and flame.

Thanks for visiting and Happy Birthday, Ray!

Fun with Dylusions Ink Spray - Word Art Wednesday #40

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I've been playing around with the Dylusions Ink Spray by Ranger.  I love the bright colors and their color names are fun, too!  They are bright and cheerful, I'm lovin' experimenting with different textures so I'll try and remember everything I've used on each one. After I've sprayed the tag with the ink I've used the run off (on the craft sheet) to pass the tag through again and I did that on each of the tags.

Stamp: Taylored Expressions; Dylusions Ink spray: Fresh Lime and Vibrant Turquoise.  I've used a mini mister to spray water on bubble wrap and layed it across the dried tag and let it set for just a few seconds.  I've Stamped the Faith with Memento Teal Zeal and then used a Sharpie White Paint Pen to add the dots and the outline.

Stamp: Unity Stamp Co.; Dylusions Ink Spray: Lemon Zest and Squeezed Orange; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and Black Zig Writer (outline doodles) I'm pretty sure I used the bubble wrap for texture on this one, too.

Stamp: Stampin' Up!; Dylusions Ink Spray: Lemon Zest, Postbox Red and Squeezed Orange; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The texture was created with a fine mesh (thanks to my friend Marsha!!)

Stamp and Branch Die: Taylored Expressions; Dylusions Spray Ink: Vibrant Turquoise and Fresh Lime; Adhesive Mesh (thanks to Marsha!!!) Not sure of the paper but I used a Black Zig Writer to outline the leaves and stem. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Stamp: Unity - Ippity Devoted; Dylusions Spray Ink: Fresh Lime and Vibrant Turquoise; Memento Ink, Teal Zeal; Bubble wrap was used again for the background texture.

Stamps: Taylored Expression (sentiment), Dylusions Stamp (border flowers), The Greeting Farm (butterfly), Studio G (Chevron stripes); Dylusion Ink Sprays: Bubblegum Pink and Black Marble;  For the background texture I used a background stamp from The Greeting Farm (In the Spotlight set) sprayed with water with a mini mister.  It's hard to see even in the following picture but the next full sized tag shows it up nicely.  I've stamped all the images with Studio white acrylic paint (Claudine Helmuth by Ranger)

Stamp: Unity Stamp Co.; Dylusions Ink Spray: Bubblegum Pink and Melted Chocolate; Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Black Zig Writer (outline).  Texture created with the background stamp from The Greeting Farm ( In the Spotlight)

Closeup to see the background texture.

Thanks for visiting, I'm excited to share another card later today and I've been working on some Digital Scrapbooking layouts that I will be sharing too!

Neon Happy Birthday - CPS#276 and Scrappin' N Style #3

Happy Friday to all my Delightful friends and family!!
Hope you have an excellent weekend ahead of you.  I'm working on Saturday at the local scrapbook store (usually I only work there on Mon. and Tues.)  I was needed to fill in until the new girl gets trained, which I'm happy help out. It does make the weekend very short though!

Here is a card I made for Amy's Style challenge #3 at Scrappin' N Style.  Hope you'll check out her blog and challenges.  She is the Cricut go-to girl around here!  Her color challenge inspires using neon colors and then to make it sweet, so here we go!  This was definitely a challenge for me!  Here is the sketch from Card Positioning Systems  this week is #276

The Stamp set I've used on the front of the card is from Taylored Expressions : Build a Treat.  I've used Memento Love Letters ink to stamp the sentiment and Archival Ink in Venetian Orange to stamp the cone and topping.  The background paper is Die Cuts With A View (it's an older 8x8 pad, I'm sorry I cannot remember the name but it had something to do with sweets!). The card stock is Bazzill (Bubble gum and Limeade).  I've used Neenah bright white to stamp my sentiment and add the ice cream cone diecuts to. (Build a treat matching dies from TE).  I've also used the Neenah card stock as a base for my panel that was created using the Dylusions Ink Sprays ( Bubblegum Pink and Fresh Lime) and it also is the ice cream! The ribbon is from my stash.  I drew the white lines with a white Sharpie Paint pen. Spellbinders Nestabilities Deckled rectangles is the die used to cut the focal panel.

Inside sentiment: Gina K Designs (One in a Million) and the ice cream cone is a Unity Stamp (Retro BBQ... sweet summertime). Copic markers to color and Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp and white Sharpie Paint pen to outline.

Thanks a lot for visiting today and hope you have an excellent weekend!

Fun in the Sun....finally!

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Just a quick summer post.  We finally had a day of afternoon sunshine and I had three of the four grandkids over.  I think I wore them out or I should say their "swimming" in the wading pool wore them out!  Here are a few of the photos I took of them.

 The Princesses: Riley and Addy

Riley getting ready to plunge into the water.

Here is Princess Addy-tude who of late has become quite sweet to this Grammie.  Today she said to me " I like coming to your house, Grammie."  Ok, so that just melted the heart! (and she posed for me!)

 Jake and Addy

Riley getting the best of her cousin Jakob!

  Enjoying each other.

Look! I'm swimmin'!

Ok, just had to share my little cutie patooties with you.  Thanks for putting up with my Grammie brag blog today.  Next post will be a fun birthday card I made for a challenge.... until then, have a fantastic day!
