Christmas Tags 2013 Day 7 - Simon says... Let it Snow!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Thanks for visiting I hope you are enjoying my collection of Christmas tags.

This is one of my favorites and it was so EASY!
I stamped the snowflakes with Versamark and used clear embossing powder. Then using a Tim Holtz ink distressing tool I applied the ink.  First I applied Distress Ink Weathered Wood but it just wasn't exactly what I was wanting so I applied Faded Jeans over it and voila! Perfect color.  I wiped the embossed snowflakes to clear off the excess ink and then sprayed Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Marshmello).  I dyed the seam binding with the Faded Jeans ink and Glimmer Mist, dried it with my heat tool and that was it!  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and the snowflake is a wood mounted stamp from Inkadinkado.

I will be entering this tag in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Let it Snow!

Thanks again for visiting and sharing your delightful comments!

Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23

Wise Men still seek Him - Christmas Tags Day 6

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

Day 6 of Christmas Tags!

Here is a one layer tag that I embossed with clear embossing powder and Versamark Ink.  The stamp image and sentiment  is from Taylored Expressions.  I dyed the seam binding to coordinate with the tag.  The inks I've used are: Distress Inks: Weathered Wood, Bundled Sage and Vintage Photo.  I've added Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist (Marshmallow) you can see some of the "splatter spots" from the Mist.
Helpful Hint:
To eliminate those spots I take my tag outdoors and spray the mist in the air and then wave my tag through the mist.  I do this a few times to get good coverage.  If you don't mind the larger drops just spray the mist and let it fall on the tag.

I will be entering this tag in two challenges:
Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes #110   )

Thanks for visiting!  Have a fantastic week!

Christmas Tags 2013 - Day 6

Hello Delightful friends and family!
15 days before Christmas, can you believe it?  And thank you again for visiting and checking out the tags I've made.  They all have new homes now which makes me very happy!

The tag on the left was very quick, the silhouette I cut from designer paper (Fancy Pants Designs - Blissful Blizzard 6x6 paper pad .  For the background I used the  Evergreen Stamp from SU! I've added light modeling paste to the trees and under the sled for texture and the effects of snow.
The Sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Tag on Right:  The background colors are Distress Paint, Chipped Sapphire and Distress Stain, Weathered Wood.  I've used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls Embossing Folder.  The mason jar and topper is from Taylored Expressions (Love Bug stamp and die set)  The designer paper is Echo Park Winter Wishes (6x6 paper pad). I've added a burlap bow and button. The "Love" stamp is from Lawn Fawn (Peace, Joy, Love)

Sorry the photos aren't the greatest, I had to use a flash and it picked up the glimmer a little too much.
Tag on the left has lots of texture created by the inks, stains and paint.  I've used a snowflake stamp (Greeting Farms - Keep Cozy) the snowflakes in the jar are from a punch and I've embellished them with Stickles and Glossy Accents. I've also used the Chevron Die (Taylored Expressions) and add a decorative strip at the bottom of the tag

Tag on the right:  The stencil is Holly Bough (Tim Holtz Layering Stencil - Stampers Anonymous)
I stamped the word "Joy" and added Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Liquid Pearls to accent.
These last two tags were a lot prettier in person.  I'm not happy how they photographed.

Well, I think I have a couple more days to post my 2013 tags and that will be it for this series.  Hope you come back tomorrow and visit!

Christmas Tags Day 5

Hello Delightful Friends and Family! '
If you are returning for Day 5 of my Christmas tags,
THANK YOU!

Here are some more of my favorite tags.
I've entered them in the Try Stampin' on Tuesday - Tag-Stavaganza
and
Totally PaperCrafts Challenge Blog #196 (Anything Christmassy but not a card)

 Aren't these cute?!
All the trees are from Taylored Expressions (Woodland Winter set and matching dies)
Left tag sentiment is from Lawn Fawn (Peace, Joy, Love set)  I've added Liquid Pearls to embellish.
Right tag: sentiment stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs and the Stitch lines are from the Lawn Fawn set; the Holly is from the Taylored Expressions set mentioned above.

Sentiments are stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs (Luke 2:11 and Christmas Verses)
EK Success Corner rounder on left tag; Oval scallop is a Spellbinders Nestabilities die. The Holly berry stamp is that notorious unknown stamp set.

 Close up of the details
Tag on the left:  background was first made with the Distress ink pads & stains, Dylusions ink sprays, a mini mister filled with water and a craft sheet, dried with a heat gun and then embossed with a Sizzix (Alterations) Holly folder; the seam binding was dyed using the matching inks from the background colors and then I pleated it (here is a TUTORIAL for the pleated ribbon) and adhered it to the designer paper (Carta Bella - "Merry Notes" So this is Christmas Collection) Added a bow and a button (Queen & Co) to finish it off.
Tag on the right: background laid down first, then stenciled (Alterations Harlequin design) over the background.  Then the layers begin with the Carta Bella Paper, Holly leaves stamped and fussy cut, spritzed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.  Buttons (Queen and Co.) added for the berries.

Thanks again for visiting and hope you might glean a little crafty inspiration!

Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous;
 And shout for joy,
all you upright in heart!  Psalm 32:11

Christmas Tags - Day 4

Hello Delightful friends and family!

It's day 4 and four more tags to share.

Here are a few of the details:
I've added designer paper to the lower half of the first tag.  The mirrored stars are from the Tim Holtz
Idea-ology Collection; Christmas Blessing (Taylored Expression); I've stenciled stars at the top and added tiny rhinestones to embellish.

Here is a close up so that you can see the texture in the mason jar.  I've used modeling paste for snow. The stamp and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  The jar and topper is the die and stamp set I've been using and the chevron die they are all  from Taylored Expressions. The snowflakes on the burlap are from my stash.

Here are two more tags, the
tree stamp is from Stamping Up! I've added just a little of the modeling paste for snowy texture on the tree.  The Joy stamp is from that earlier collection that I've been using and that I'm not sure of the manufacturer. 2nd tag sentiment is from Taylored Expressions; WR Memory Keeps Washi Tape and Liquid Pearls to embellish. Holly & Ivy Stencil (Tim Holtz line) was used for the background.

Hope you're enjoying these tags!  There are more to come in the next few days.
I will be entering these tags in the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge Tag - Stravaganza and the Totally PaperCrafts Challenge Blog (#196 Anything Christmassy but a card)

Thanks for visiting!

Christmas Tags - Day 3 (Totally PaperCrafts Challenge 96)

Hello Delightful friends and family!  We woke up to a very light dusting of snow this morning!  Very unusual for us being very close to sea level and it will be gone in a couple of hours but it sure looks pretty.

Day 3 of my Christmas tags!  These are a couple of favorites, I love all the texture, the different backgrounds using a stencil (Holly & Ivy - Tim Holtz) on the first and a stamp (Greeting Farms) on the second one.  Same inks and glimmer sprays and techniques as days 1 and 2). I've added a few new inks (Distress inks:  Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood and Tsukineo Brilliance Moonlight White in the Dew Drop line and Distress Paint Chipped Sapphire)

The "Believe" and fussy cut Holly is from a stamp set that I've had for awhile and I do not know the company.  The sentiment comes from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I've die cut the flag using MFT die-namics Fishtail Banner Stax. And I've scattered a little bit of Liquid Pearls throughout.
The second tag sentiment is from Inkadinkado and is wood mounted.  The snowflake is a punch that I've inked up with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap and then added Glossy Accents. The jar is a stamp and die set from Taylored Expressions. I've added a little bit of burlap for texture and the Designer Paper is WR Memory Keepers Winter Frost.

I'm entering these in Totally Papercrafts (anything Christmassy except for cards) Challenge #96

Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for Day 4 of my Christmas tags.  Heading to the Ladies Christmas Party Luncheon shortly, I hope they like the tags!

Christmas Tags Day 2

Hello Delight friends and family!  Has this week flown by or what?!!
Just a quick post to share 3 more tags I've made for the Ladies Ministry Christmas Party. I try to make a little something for those that attend as a thank you for their continued prayer support for our church.
I am so grateful for their prayer support!!  It's not always easy being a pastor's wife but they sure make it a joy when I know they are praying for me!

I've entered this tag in the Try Stampin' on Tuesday - Tag-Stravaganza

This stamp set is from Our Daily Bread Designs (Luke 2:11).  I stamped the poinsettia twice and popped it up after coloring it with Copics, then added Glossy Accents to the center of the flower.  Distress Inks Fired Brick and Vintage Photo were used around the tag, Memento Ink Northern Pine was used to stamp the Scripture verse.  The tag was also spritzed with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to add a bit of shimmer but the photo doesn't show it, it really is a pretty finish to the simple tag.

The first tag with the large holly berries was stamped with Memento Northern Pine and Liquid Pearls were added to the little berries on the Merry Christmas (I've torn the edges and then distressed them with ink).  Sorry, can't remember the stamp set but it is a coordinating set.  The large berries were stamped with Distress Ink - Fired Brick, then Glossy Accents was added for dimension.  The second tag was covered with Designer Paper (from my Christmas stash) and the Jar and Topper is a stamp and Die set from Taylored Expressions, I paper pieced the mini tag and hand wrote "To" and "From".  The pleated ribbon is a technique I used and then I made a bow using my Bow Easy and positioned it on a button.  There are a few layers under the ribbon but  the pic just doesn't show the details very well.  The Holly Berries stamp in the jar are also from Taylored Expressions, the Merry Christmas stamp is a wood mounted stamp I've had for a few years. Both tags were embellished with Liquid Pearls.   (In my first Christmas Tag post, I shared the inks and stains I've used for the backgrounds of most of the tags and the ribbon at the top of each tag is seam binding that I've dyed)

That's it for me!  Thanks for visiting.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory.  No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Christmas Tags 2013

Hello Delightful Friends and Family

I shared yesterday that I made 30 tags for our Ladies Ministry's Christmas Luncheon and I thought I would share my favorites over the next few days as time allows.   So, here are two different tags  featuring a tree.  One is a special fold called Falala tree fold and I saw it on Pinterest and you can find it on my Christmas Board.  The second tree is a die from Taylored Expressions.  Both sentiments are Lawn Fawn stamps from the Peace, Joy, Love set.

I've dyed all the ribbon with either Distress Stains and Distress Inks, Perfect Pearl Sprays and Dylusions Ink Spray those inks were also used for the background colors on each tag.  Other ingredients: Memento Rich Cocoa and Northern Pine Inks; Tiny Twinkles (rhinestones), Stickles; The Craft Tags are #8 size manila tags from Ranger (6.25"x 3.25")

Thanks for visiting!!  Have an excellent day.

I have a wonderful verse to share:

Blessed be the Lord who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation.  Psalm 68:19

What a blessing to know that the Lord daily bears our burdens!
He is ever faithful.

Many Thanks - WAW 109

Hello Delightful friends and family!

Here's a card of thanks I made to add to my sister's gift set that I forgot to post.

I think it is perfect timing because I want to thank Karen and the Design Team at Word Art Wednesday for having me as their Guest Designer for the month of November!! Thanks again, ladies!! It was fun.

I just got finished making 30 tags for the Ladies Ministry Christmas Luncheon.  Each one is different and that was fun but kind of time consuming, but I'm done!! A week early!!
Can't wait to share them but I've got to get my favorites photographed first.

Thanks for visiting!!

Better is Little - Word Art Wednesday #108

Happy Wednesday to all my Delightful Friends and Family!
Here we are at week 4 and the last week of my Guest Designer stint with Word Art Wednesday, it's been such a blessing to be able to share a bit with all of you and I thank you so much for your sweet comments.  Thanks again to Karen and all the Design Team for the inspiration and encouragement they share week after week!

This verse from Proverbs is so appropriate for this time of year when things get overwhelmed with commercialism and we have a tendency to forget to be thankful and content.  This card is truly meant to be an encouragement to someone who may be struggling with that very thing. Wisdom and knowledge begin with the reverent fear of the Lord. Sometimes we need a good friend to keep us accountable and remind us to keep our eyes on our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is the list of the ingredients to my card:
Designer Paper: Simple Stories "Harvest Lane"; Card Stock: Bazzill and Neenah; Inks:  Archival (Aquamarine), Memento (Teal Zeal); Ranger Liquid Pearls (white opal) Stamps: Taylored Expressions,  Garden Party Blooms and My Favorite Things, Chalkboard Greetings.  Petaloo Fancy Trims (Shades of Teal); Embossing Folder: Sizzix Alterations (Bricked); Cuttlebug.

Thanks so much for visiting!!

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Philippians 4:11-13

Word Art Wednesday # 107 - Simple Blessings

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Hope you've had a good start to your week!
I'm blessed to share another project as Guest Designer for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog (Anything Goes)  Today I'm sharing a card using the Simple Pleasures (pumpkins) from Unity Stamp Co. and the diecut Mini leaves from Sizzix (Tim Holtz Alterations line).  I LOVE the paper  from We R Memory Keepers (6x6 Paper Pad Happy Campers) it was in my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kit for August.  Love the color combination!  The ribbon (seam binding), I custom colored with Distress Inks (Vintage Photo and Peacock Feathers) and a Mini Mister.  The wonderful Scripture verse is Psalm 19:1 and is this weeks "Scripture Art" from WAW.  This is free to use and you can download here and play along if you'd like.  It's not required to use the verse to play along in the challenge but it does need to be "family friendly" and we appreciate you keeping that in mind when you link up.

I love how nature declares God's glory and His plan that was ordained before the very foundation of the world, that through Jesus Christ we would be reconciled to the Father. Each season speaks of it! God's ways are so perfect!

Here is the inside (obvious I'm sure!)  I've used the Upper Crest border punch from EK Success to fancy up the strip of paper along the bottom.

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Humorous Birthday Card - SACC#33 and 2TC#63

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Here is a funny card I made for my other sister whose birthday is this month, too.
It's a stamp from Inky Antics (Worldly Women) that we carry in our lss. The designer paper is My Minds Eye and I've colored this "doll" with Copic Markers and I've added a few rhinestones to bling it up! I've also used some Spica pens to give the jewlery a little sparkle but the photo doesn't show it.
The sketch I used is from a MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge #149 but I forgot to link up!

I started writing this post about 4 days ago (I think?!) remember how I said I was under the weather?  Well, it's not just "under the weather" it's a full blown case of bronchitis.  I've not been this sick in ages. That is why I've not been visiting and commenting and I think my laptop has got a bug as well.  It only seems to be when I try to do anything on my blog, weird ads keep popping up and I can't seem to get rid of them.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Finally went to the doctor yesterday and she prescribed me something so I could sleep.  This coughing has been none stop - rib aching none stop!  I've camped out on the recliner with a cozy blanket, hot tea with honey and the Hallmark Channel and an occasion HGTV show. Please pray for me, I have so much to do at the end of this week for our annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner that our church puts on every year.
Here is my card that will be entered in the following challenges:
Twisted Tuesday Challenge #63 (use polka dots and pop ups on your creation)
I've used pop ups on my image

Thanks for visiting. Tomorrow I'll have a new card for Word Art Wednesday so I hope you'll be back to check it out!
Rejoice in the Lord always.  Again I will say, rejoice!  Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.  Philippians 4:4-5

Birthday Wishes

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week.  I'm a little under the weather but you know how it is - moms just don't usually have the luxury of pulling up the covers and staying in bed. I'm drinking lots of fluids and trying to stay low key but.... you know - easier said than done!   I do have a few cards I've made to share over the next few days, so doing that will be my "resting" time. (lol)

This card is made from the November Key Ingredient kit from Taylored Expressions.  This kit has a darling stamp set this month and I love the Fancy Pants designer paper (happy-go-lucky collection).
I've used Memento rich cocoa ink to stamp the image and sentiment.  The dies used are from Spellbinders Shapeabilities (doily), Nestabilities Classic Circle and the My Favorite Things Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers Stax. The border punch is from EK Success.  I've colored the image with Copic Markers. I stamped the flowers twice and fussy cut the second one and popped it up with a dimensional.  The ribbon and button are from my stash.  This card is for my youngest sister who is having a birthday this week.

I'm entering this in the Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes Birthday) and Sister Act Card Challenge #32

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the week!

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.            1 Peter 4:10

Love in Action - Word Art Wednesday #106

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Hope you are having an awesome day!! Here is my second project for Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes) Challenge blog.  We would love for you to  link up and join us at the WAW challenge with a Family Friendly project!

I just love the digital image by Mo Manning called "You're My Best" I've colored her with my Copic Markers, then fussy cut her out and used dimensionals to pop her up. I used a pink Spica pen on her nails, the heart on her skirt and the teddy bear's ears but it's only sparkly in person, the photo isn't picking it up.

The designer paper is We R Memory Keepers (Happy Camper 6x6 paper pad), I love the colors in this collection and it came in my August Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kit.  I diecut the Scripture verse with the My Favorite Things Die-Namics, Fishtail Flags Stax.
Card Stock: Bazzill and Neenah.  Ink: Distress Ink, Vintage photo (around the edges)

This is the inside of the card and I've used the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail flags Stax and the Spellbinder Nestabilities, Wonky Reverse Rectangle die; Ink: Archival, Russet; Stamp Set: Taylored Expressions, "Thankful" set.

Thanks for visiting!

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17

Hello Delightful friends and family!
We are celebrating our youngest granddaughter's birthday Monday.  Can't believe she is already turning 3 years old!  I just had to make this "art-themed" birthday card for her.  She loves to draw - on EVERYTHING!!  You should see her eyes light up when she has a marker in hand!  Anyway, when we got this stamp in the store, I just knew it would be perfect considering the gift we are giving her: a pint-size art center!

Here is Princess Tucker Lynn, I took this picture last week and it's sooo her!
That look on her face is the one she get when she has a marker in her hand (ha!)

Have a great week and I'll be back on Wednesday with a fun project and a delightful announcement.
