Summer Camp Out!

Hello Delightful Friends & Family
Here is a quick post to share a card I made for a little guy in our church who had a birthday last week and a campout with some of his buddies in his big backyard that borders the forest.  Since I'm not home (still up in Oregon, tending to my momma) I can't really give you any details about the card.  Except that I did do the whitewash fence technique for the background, some masking and fussy cutting.  And I used three different stamp sets (Taylored Expressions- S'more Fun, Lawn Fawn - Happy Trails and Hero Arts-Essential Messages on the inside.)
I made this for Jakob and Addy to give to Garison which fit the theme perfectly for his summer birthday!

This card will be entered in the following challenges:
Seize the Birthday

Inside of the card:

Thanks for visiting!  Enjoy the weekend.

Moxie Fab World - Creative Spaces - Linky Party!

Hello Delightful Friends and Family,
While my mom is taking a nap (she had hip replacement surgery on Monday) I thought I'd share my favorite space on my desk since Moxie Fab World is having a Linky Party to promote the new Creative Spaces Volume 3. Hope this will inspire!
I've collected Crystal Light containers (thanks to my dear hubs!) for my Copic Markers.  They are the perfect size and stackable and with their lids on, portable. The shelving is actually for shoes but works perfectly. I also was blessed at Christmas from my oldest daughter who bought me the stamp pad holder from OrganizeMore, which I've outgrown and could use another one (hint, hint). This unit can free stand or hang on the wall.
I keep my Stazon inks in another large container under my desk. This picture was taken in January and I've added more markers and more stamp pads!  I've also labeled all the stamp pads.  This system works perfectly for me.  When I get back home, I'll have to take a picture of my craft table and share (my husband bought it for me at Costco and it's WONDERFUL) he added a laminate top to it and I love it!!  I can't wait to see all the creative spaces to find better ways to utilize my space!

Thanks for visiting, better go get some dinner started!  Have a great evening!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills -- from whence comes my help?  My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.  Psalm 121:1-2

On the Road again... Make a Wish Princess Addy!

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Well so far the week has been just a bit on the crazy side. My mom had hip replacement surgery and it was done out of the area, so that makes it a little more complicated for me.  She went through the surgery fine but experienced an irregular heart beat and now has to go to extra appointments to have her heart checked out. (My uncle, her brother had a heart attack on Sunday so the craziness really started then!)  So, the bottom line is that I will drive up to where she's at and take her to her appointments to help out.

Please keep me in prayer because there are a lot more things going on this week and weekend that are church related that I'm responsible for that I'm trying to take care of before I leave on Wednesday morning.  I am really leaning on the Scripture in Philippians chpt 4:4-7.  Trusting the Lord to help me and leaving my dear hubby with a list!

Hope you enjoy this card I made for our Princess Addy.  Princess Marci is the stamp from LaLa Land Crafts.  I've colored her with Copic markers and embellished with Wink of Stella clear pen and Copic Atyou Spica Glitter pen (gold).  Inks: Memento, Tuxedo Black and Teal Zeal.
The balloons and chevron are dies from Taylored Expressions. I've used designer paper rather than stamping the balloons.  Even their strings are a die, then I made a bow out of embroidery floss and attached to Princess Marci's hand.
The sentiment is from a WOW clear stamp set which I've diecut using a MFT die-namics.  The envelope I stamped with the matching balloon stamps from Taylored Expressions. All of the Designer Paper is from Fancy Pants Designs - Park Bench collection.

A Bouquet to Encourage (Curtain Call and Sister Act #62)

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!
Here is a card I made for a friend at church who needs a little bit of encouraging.
I hope this card will brighten her day! Nothing like a bouquet of flowers to bring a smile.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Front of card: Taylored Expressions stamp, dies (hello and frame) and ribbon. I've used the Whitewashed Woodgrain Technique for the background again (see last post for link).  I've popped up the flowers with a dimensional, they were colored with Copics and a dot of Liquid Pearls were added to their centers.  The designer paper is My Minds Eye (Collectible) Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black) and to whitewash: Memento Espresso Truffle and Tsukineko Brillance Moonligt White. Card stock: Bazzill.  It's hard to tell but I've layered the hello, the bottom layer is the teal colored c/s and I've offset it just a bit and the top layer is black and I've added Glossy Accents to add more dimension and shine.

Here is the encouraging part of the card...
Both sentiments are from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps (Be Encouraged and The Future Stamp sets).  I've used the same Frame Die from Taylored Expressions that I used on the front. Upper Crest Border Punch (Fiskars) finishes the bottom of the card.
Well that's it for me today.  I spent the afternoon at the beach to celebrate Addy's 5th birthday.  Next post I'll share the card I made for her.  Thanks for visiting!

Whitewash Woodgrain Masculine Birthday Card

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Playing along at Seize the Sketch #22.  This card I made for my grandson's little neighbor who celebrated his 8th birthday this week.  I also tried out this new technique for the first time for the background.  I love it! So easy and quick and perfect for the summer.  Here's a link to the website to the Whitewash Woodgrain technique (thanks Gina K Designs!).

I've used stamps from Taylored Expression on the front.  The twine (Darice) the button is Corrugated Shapes (Jillibean soup - Key Ingredient embellie from T.E.)  The ink for the background is Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap) then I applied Tsukineko Brilliance (Moonlight White) over it after I had scored 1/2" lines on a piece of bright teal card stock.  Ink for the sentiments Memento (Rich Cocoa).

Inside of the card:  Another Corrugated shape from Jillibean Soup, The little car is from Lawn Fawn (Happy Trails and I've colored it with Copic markers and then embellished it with Glossy Accents.  The sentiment is from BoBunny  and the Designer Paper is MME "Boy Crazy" collection.

I'll also be sharing this card at WORD ART WEDNESDAY #137 (Anything Goes)

Thanks for visiting and have a great FRIDAY!!

Seize the Cupcake! WAW #137 and STB

Hello Delightful friends and family!!
Having a gorgeous day here in northern California. I made a quick card for a co-worker a couple of weeks ago and forgot to post it so here it is!
Love this paper!  I have two of this Pebbles (Garden Party collection) paper pads.  One is a 6"x 6" pad and the other one is 5.5" x 8.5" and the design is just a tad bit larger. The latter can fold into cards (I've not chosen to do that). I've used two different stamps: The cupcake (Kaiser stamps) and the sentiment is Taylored Expressions (Key Ingredient ).  I've also used a Copic marker to color the cupcake and added Liquid Pearls and Wink of Stella (clear) to embellish. The fish tail banner die is from MFT die-namics and I fussy cut the cupcake.
I will be entering this at:

Here's a look at the inside:
Sorry for the poor quality of photo, I had to take it at night and I was in a hurry.
(stamps: Taylored Expressions [seize the cupcake and candle] and Hero Arts Essential Messages set [best wishes]); Martha Stewart border punch.  Inks I've used are Memento and Archival inks.
Well, that's it from me today, yard work and errands are awaiting!!
Thanks for visiting!

Caught a Bug? ( WAW#136 and SACC#61)

Hello Delightful friends and family,
Today is the first day of summer vacation for my grandson and wouldn't you know it, he gets sick!  He has pneumonia of all things!  Poor little guy, it came on so fast, I hope this card will cheer him up.  He should be here any minute to camp out on my couch for the day.....update: boy did the antibiotics and breathing treatment do wonders!  Now to try to corral his energy just a bit!

I've used Paper Smooches stamps, My Minds Eye paper (Sophie), MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Banner Die and Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I've fussy cut all the little elements and added googly eyes.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Thanks for visiting!

Finally then, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received from us how you must walk and please God -- as you are doing--do so even more.  1 Thessalonians 4:1

Adorable is My Middle Name - Mini Album

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Here is my second mini album I made for my niece.  This ended up to thick to add to the one I shared in the earlier post.  My intention was for this to be an interactive page inside the first mini album I made.  So, she received two instead of one but there were no complaints (lol!)

Warning: This post has a lot of pictures!

I've used the same paper as the last mini album (DCWV - Nana's Nursery Baby Boy)
Here is the link to making the base of this album: TUTORIAL.  When I made the base I thought I was using a good color to coordinate but it ended up that I hated it and so I Gesso'd the entire thing and either ink sprayed, covered with the DCWV paper or used a better color of card stock to coodinate with the designer paper. (a lot of extra work on my part which was unnecessary if I had chosen a better color card stock to start with)

I'm just going to share little bits with you because there is just too much to remember!!!
Dies: Spellbinders; Flower punch (Marvy Uchida); Faux stitching: Faber Castell Pitt white pen. The front cover closes with velcro.

I've used small white tags from Paper Accents that's I've embellished.  Stamps and ribbon: Taylored Expressions.

I've used seam binding and dyed it with Dylusions Ink Spray (Ranger) and the vine stamp is from Prima Marketing.  The border is the DCWV paper.  I've slipped in a 4"x6" piece of vellum in the place where the picture should go.

Printed words next to hippo sticker below is computer generated and printed on a transparency.

Notes and Date are a Lawn Fawn Alpha stamp set. Border die (My Favorite Things), each tag has this on the backside for journaling.

Tag stamped with "Cutie Pie" (Unity Stamp Co.) Flower border (Taylored Expressions) and Grass (Lawn Fawn.  Photo Corners: Marvy Uchida Punch.

"Adorable" quote computer generated printed on Vellum (font: Cutie Patootie); Fishtail banner die (MFT) I double stamped the lion on patterned paper twice and fussy cut the head and used a dimensional to pop it out a bit.  I don't remember the paper I used but it worked well and he turned out so cute!!  I used a Copic marker to color the mane.  The background was ink sprayed with Ranger Dylusions Ink (vibrant turquoise, dirty martini and white linen) and I'm loving this combination.  It's even prettier in person.
I think the woodgrain paper is Simple Stories and I cut the extra strip at the top and bottom to make it look like a fence.  Distressed with ink on the edges.  The banner is the MFT die.  WeR Memory Keepers bakers twine to string the banner.  I was inspired by a scrapbook page on Pinterest for this layout.

So, if you made it this far, thanks for sticking with this picture heavy post.  I hope you are inspired! If you have any questions please be sure to leave them in the comment section and I'll try and answer them for you.

I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #136 Anything Goes.

Today is my little granddaughter Addy's 5th birthday!  Can't believe she will be starting kindergarten in the fall! I took this picture today as she was heading out the door on the way home.

Thanks for visiting!

It's In the Bag! Showered with Love card

Hello Delightful friends and family!
I have a baby shower card to share today.
I've used the Taylored Expressions stamp and matching die called It's in the Bag.
I've had the paper for ages and I'm not sure where I got it.  I've used Memento Nautical blue ink to stamp the pacifier and sentiment.  I tore a little piece of tissue and added it to the bag.  A Faber Castell Pitt Artist pen was used to add the faux stitching and the border punch is called Upper Crest by Fiskars.

I'm entering this card at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge - use a stamp or digi stamp on your project

My niece Bobbi opening up her gifts at the shower. She is expecting her first.
It was fun to spend some time with my sister's family in Oregon!
Both my nieces (sisters) Bobbi (baby boy) & Shae (baby girl) posing their baby bumps for me.
They are due in August!
This cutie patootie is Laurel my great niece (Shae's youngest) who will be a big sister in August but for now is little sister to Quentin.

That's it for me, thanks for visiting!

Baby Boy - Mini album, (part 2)

Hello Delightful friends and family!
We are having a beautiful sunshiny day here in Blue Lake!  I have my two little granddaughters today and they have been helping me water the flowers in the yard and now we are having some quiet time in the house before we walk Mimi (auntie's) golden retriever Ruby and then pick up Jake from school.  It's a great day to spend outside!  We've enjoyed it :-)
Baby album continued:

Pages 5 and 6
I've printed on vellum all the words on both pages (font: Cutie Patootie);  Two punches: Photo Corners (Marvy Uchida) and Scallop diamond border punch (EK Success)

Close up of page 5

Page 6: Flag banner Punch (EK Success) not sure of the name of the "ric rac border on the right edge but also EK Success.  For a bit of interest I used a Polka DotEmbossing folder on the paper behind the "picture space"  and I'm still using the DCWV Nana's Nursery paper for baby boy.

Page 7 and 8
The ivy is a stamp (from stash) that I've stamped using paint (Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn) and the blue-green background is customized using Dylusions ink Spray.

The little frog and butterfly are 3-D stickers. I've used a little bit of white ink to embellish (Pitt Artist Pen from Faber Castell)

Page 9 & 10 (inside back cover)  "Be is for Baby (sticker) and I've used a Spellbinder label die distressed with ink (Ranger Distress Ink Broken China) and one side is attached with velcro.

2 spots for photos and a panel to journal.  Inside cover has that gorgeous colored paper (I used Dylusions - Vibrant Turquoise, Dirty Martini and White linen ink spray to create it on watercolor paper and I've use the lattice stencil from Heidi Swapp).  The green was made by a large envelope, sealed, folded over and trimmed to create two pockets.  One pocket was designed to hold the vellum envelopes for keepsakes and the other for a tag with a Scripture on it.  As you can see I took the pics before it was completed.

Back cover:  I used the same Dylusions ink spray for the back of the album, but first I gesso'd the back cover then sprayed with ink the damp paper, then blotted it with a paper towel to create that interesting design.  I LOVE those colors together.  The green and gold ribbon is from a Key Ingredient Kit from Taylored Expressions.

Well, that's it for me, thanks for visiting!
I still have another mini album to share but before I do I need to hunt down the link for the steps to making the base.  I  think I may have it on my Pinterest board but I will double check.

I will be sharing part 2 at Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes)
