Word Art Wednesday #185

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

Just a quick post to share a card I made with this weeks Word Art Wednesday digital Scripture. (free from the WAW blog)
Be sure and visit Word Art Wednesday there is wonderful instruction using this Scripture from 1 Corinthians 2:5.  Too often in religion people have a tendency to rely on the wisdom of men rather than the power and wisdom of God.

Here is my card:

Ingredients to card:  Base: Neenah white card stock, next layer Neenah Desert Storm card stock, next layer, Bazzil red card stock.  I've used a piece of blue card stock to frame out the water color paper from Ranger.  I've stamped with Archival Jet Black ink - stamp: Sizzix Flowers #5 (Stephanie Ackerman designer). I've colored the flower with watercolor paints and then used Distress Ink Antique Linen on the edges.  It's hard to tell in the picture but I've also added Glossy Accents to the center of each flower.  The digi Scripture was printed on vellum.

Thanks so much for visiting!

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:13

Clean and Simple Soft Floral Card - WAW 184

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Here is a card I've made to share at Word Art Wednesday #184 (Anything Goes and family friendly)

I CASE'd this card from the Penny Black Simplicity Blog.  It was super simple and I plan to try it again and use different colors and do a bit more blending with the Copic Markers.  The stamp is called Softly and I embossed with Versamark Ink and used white embossing powder from Ranger.  The Scripture is this weeks digital verse from Word Art Wednesday and I printed it on white vellum and mounted it on the blue card stock which I popped up with dimensionals.  I've used Copics B21 and B23 and the blue card stock is from my stash.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a fantastic day.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Must Say Thanks - CC&CC 91

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Wow! I'm on a roll this week!  It's nice to get back into a groove with the card making and posting.
Here is a fun card I made using a water color technique of layering the colors then adding gold and black to give a faux glazed glass look.  I shared this technique in my last class at Scrapper's Edge and it was a big hit! The ladies really liked learning this technique and I loved all the different looks everyone came up with.

Here is a list of supplies:  Dies - Taylored Expressions Vase, Spellbinders DeLites Lavender, Sizzix Labels Fancy #6.The sentiment is from Avery Elle, the water colors are a very inexpensive set I got at the lss and I've added Stella Luna (gold ) pen/brush.  The base of the card is Flamingo (Bazzill) and  black card stock.  I've stamped with Archival Jet Black Ink.  LOVE how the vase turned out, it was diecut from the watercolored paper!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Friday!!

Shaker Birthday Card - Goody Goody Gumballs!

Hello Delightful friends and family
Had a fun time visiting the grandkids school and having lunch with them today.  They were tickled I was there and only Jakob knew I was coming so I surprised Riley and Addy.  I love seeing their faces light up!

Here is a card I did for my nephew who celebrated his birthday on Monday.  Happy birthday to Will!

Looks like the little beads are popping in the air!  They aren't stuck there, they are tiny beads so I thought I'd take the photo with them more visible. I've colored the image with Copic Markers and this fun stamp and die set is from Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment bubble is a die from Spellbinders.  The background embossing folder is called Diamond Plate from Provocraft and probably discontinued. The designer paper is from Echo Park. The card stock was cut with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling die.  I kept the design simple since this was for a teen boy and I thought I was kind of pushing it with a gumball machine on his card.

I will be sharing this card at

Here is a picture of my not so little ones!

Can't forget Princess Tucker who was just finishing her day at Preschool.

CAS - Thinking of You

Hello Delightful friends and family!
We enjoyed a beautiful day here in northern California.  Thankfully the wind has died down and it was really a pretty day.  It was so nice this evening I didn't even need a blanket or the extra hoodie at Jakob's little league game, I don't leave home without them!

Here is a CAS card I made using Distress inks, a MFT's stencil, Lawn Fawn stamp (grass from Gnome Sweet Gnome)  and Ranger watercolor paper. The sentiment is from a Taylored Expressions stamp using Archival Jet Black ink.  The card base is Neenah Desert Storm.

The Distress Inks I've used are Peeled Paint and Mowed Grass for the stems and grass.  Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass are the colors I've used for the blossoms.  I used the Ranger water brush which I love working with and I am really enjoying this watercolor technique using stencils!

I will be sharing this at Word Art Wednesday #183  Family Friendly card
and CAS on Sunday #58 Cheer up Buttercup (make a card to brighten someone's day)

Thanks so much or visiting!

You've Been On My Mind

Hello Delightful friends and family!
Here is a card I made trying out a couple of techniques (ombre colors and blending/camouflaging my die)  I've used Distress inks starting with Worm lipstick in the bottom corner and ending with Squeezed Lemon.  I've stamped the sentiment on vellum and used Avery Elle pigment ink (Raspberry) and embossed with clear (Wow embossing powder). The stamp I used is from MFT - Just My Type set.  The Hello die is also from Avery Elle.  My card size is 4.25" x 4.25.

Thanks for visiting!!
