Simply Stamped - Word Art Wednesday #198

Hello Delightful friends and family!

Hope your Wednesday is going well! I have our Ladies Bible Study this morning so I need to make this a quick post so that I can get some things done around the house before heading to the church.

Here is my card for Word Art Wednesday #198 (we are getting closer to that #200 challenge!!!)  As always it is an Anything Goes - Family Friendly challenge and we would love for you to play along with us.  We have great sponsors with fabulous prizes so be sure and check out the site and then consider joining us!

I've had this stamp set for awhile (Simply Stamped by Taylored Expressions) and it has been sitting on my craft table just begging to be inked up and I finally got inspired!  I knew I wanted to use Desert storm card stock for a layer and I think these ink colors work great with it.  The stamps are a layering set and so I started with Worn Lipstick for the base, then Picked Raspberry for the next layer and then the darkest color I used  Festive Berries (All Distress inks) The leaves were stamped with Archival Green Fern.  I've used Antique Linen and sponged around the edges, as well as the card stock for the Scripture verse.  The cute Loops are from a Taylored Expression Die set called Skinny Mini Borders.

I love Psalm 119, it has so many spiritual gems to dig up and digest.  Verse 90 our featured Scripture this week is definitely one of those gems. Just think about how God's Word had established the earth in the very beginning (Genesis 1) and now it's His faithfulness that causes it to continue to abide.  You can read throughout the Bible how God sustains this earth and how our very hairs and days are numbered!! It's a definite reminder of God's faithfulness to all generations!

Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

Abound in Hope - Word Art Wednesday #197

Hello Delightful Friends and Family!

The last seven days have sure been busy and you can tell that summer is winding down.  There was even a little chill in the air this morning due to a heavy layer of fog on the coast.  Could the change in weather be due to all the ash in the air from all the fires? Just wondering... And oh my all the ash, it's on everything! Hopefully the fires will be 100% contained soon.  So much acreage has been burned and there have been homes lost too.  Please keep northern California in your prayers please!

Here's my card this week for Word Art Wednesday #197 Anything Goes  - Family Friendly.  Hope you will play along!  Check out our wonderful sponsors each week, too!  The free word art is from Romans 15:13.  LOVE this verse!  How many of you want to abound in hope? Well, it comes from the God of hope and He will fill you with all joy and peace.  What a comfort to know the Holy Spirit will give us His comfort in the way of hope and peace! And we can abound it in! Wow, is God faithful or what!

Ingredients:
Stamp: Great Impressions (H151) this is an oldie but a goodie!
Paper: Base- Desert Storm (Neenah)
Pattern Paper - Carta Bella - A Perfect Autumn 6x6 pad
Vellum - white (Paper Accents)
I've embossed with White Embossing powder (Ranger) on Neenah Desert Storm and colored with Copic Markers.  The button is from my stash and the cording is Darice Hemp Natural Cord.

Well, must keep this short and sweet, I teach a cardmaking class at the lss and I have lots of prep work to finish up today!

Thanks for visiting!

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13

From the Flower Garden - Word Art Wednesday #196

Hey there!
So glad you found your way here!  My card this week features a Tim Holtz stamp called 2015 Flower Garden (CMS215).  I've masked the flowers and stem to repeat the image and then colored with my Copic markers.  To make the background I used a Zig waterbrush (medium) filled with the Colorless Blender and using B00 I filled in the background.  Definitely a different kind of look but I like how it turned out.  I wasn't doing the technique exactly right and I really need to practice but all in all I'm okay with it.  Too late now, right? (lol) Anyway... the Scripture is supposed to be the focal point! I've printed it out on white vellum.  The verse is Isaiah 52:7 and it is our featured word art at
  Word Art Wednesday #196 (Anything Goes - Family Friendly).  Hope you'll visit and play along with us this week.  Be sure and check out the fun prizes from are wonderful sponsors!

Oh the beautiful feet that bring the Good News of salvation!  When God reigns in one's heart there is peace and good tidings of salvation.  Isaiah prophecies  in this verse of the beautiful feet that declare the Gospel.  What a great time we live in, for today is the day of Salvation!  We may live in perilous times but I thank the Lord Jesus that His hand is still outstretched to us!  My God reigns!

That's it for me today!  Thanks so much for visiting and commenting!!

Fullness of Joy! Word Art Wednesday #195

Hey there!
Hope this is finding you all well and enjoying the week!  It's midweek so that means it is time for our Word Art Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes - Family Friendly) this is challenge #195!  It's so exciting to see so many who join us each week, THANK YOU!!!  This weeks' Scripture has been a favorite verse in the Book of Psalms. If you'd like to use this verse and play along be sure to head over to Word Art Wednesday and grab it!  You don't have to use it to play along though.

Here is my card for this week:

Isn't this digital image from All Dressed Up adorable?  I think she's called Flower Girl.  I've colored her with Copic Markers and the flowers were colored with Spica Pens ( pink, lemon and lavender).  The white dotted part of her hat was made with Uni-Ball Signa broad white pen.  The picture doesn't show this but I've also added Glossy accents to the flower on her hat, the center of the bow and on the wing of the bluebird on her bag.  The Scripture was printed on white vellum, the card stock underneath has been embossed and distressed. (Embossing folder - Sizzix Borders and Flowers and Distress Ink Worn Lipstick).  The scallop die is from Taylored Expressions.

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.  Psalm 16:11

Isn't that a wonderful promise from the Lord? I'm so dependent on Him to show me the path of life.  When we live a life of commitment to Him we find that we can have a life of joy, peace and contentment.  That is something that the world (nor religion) can give you. It is because we can experience those things (joy, peace, contentment) even in the midst of challenges and trials when we have a true relationship with Christ.  Won't you consider committing you life to Jesus Christ?  Your problems won't magically disappear but you will have a peace that passes understanding and a promise from God to never leave you nor forsake you.

Have a great week and thanks so much for visiting!
